My computer was infected by the Kakworm virus. I used antivirus software to remove it. How can I keep it from happening again?
Two things: update your antivirus software regularly (ideally once a week) and install the security patch that stops Kak and other worms like it from running. You can get this from Windows Update or from www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms99-032.asp. See also tip How to avoid internet worms.
